President John Dramani Mahama has nominated Jerry Yao Ameko, an educationist and the constituency chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as the District Chief Executive (MCE) for Adaklu.
The Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs announced the nomination in a press release on March 26, in accordance with the 1992 Constitution and the Local Governance Act of 2016.
The list of nominees from eight regions is pending approval from their respective assemblies, and a second list covering an additional eight regions will be released soon.
