Mr Jerry Ameko, the NDC Constituency Chairman and a candidate for District Chief Executive (DCE) in Adaklu, has promised to improve revenue collection in the district if elected. He believes that better financial resources will help the district grow and develop.
Mr. Ameko highlighted the district’s strong agricultural potential because of its large farmlands and productive water bodies. He plans to promote fish farming and explore other agricultural opportunities to benefit the district.
He also wants to create job opportunities for young people by attracting investors to the district and helping them gain skills and resources in agribusiness.
He assured residents that he would work to develop the tourism potential of Adaklu Mountain, asserting that this could bring more visitors and raise additional funds for community projects.
Mr. Ameko shared his plans during a press briefing after his vetting on Monday.
The final list of candidates for the Adaklu District Assembly should be announced in the next few days after the vetting process on Monday, January 27, 2025.
