Following an extensive week-long vetting process for the Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executive (MMDCE) positions in the Volta Region, three candidates have been officially shortlisted for the District Chief Executive (DCE) position in Adaklu.
The shortlisted candidates are Jerry Ameko, the current Constituency Chairman; Harrison Akadi; and Rebecca Agboga.
The vetting committee, chaired by Egypt Kudoto, the Regional Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), reviewed applications from a total of 237 candidates.
Bright Kwashie Ege, the Acting NDC Regional Secretary, announced the shortlisted candidates in a press release.
President John Dramani Mahama will make the final decision regarding the appointment of one candidate to the DCE position. Once selected, the appointed candidate will need to undergo a confirmation process by the Adaklu District Assembly to officially assume the role.
